The idea for Top Agent was born in 2015 when we went to sell our own property. After spending weeks trawling through papers and websites to try and work out who was the best person to sell our property in our location and price range, we thought there just had to be a better way. Like everyone, we thought we were aware of the agents in our area but we just had no factual data to support who really would be our top local agent.
We’re based in Auckland New Zealand and have a passion for Real Estate. As a small team of passionate property nuts, we spend our time trawling the internet and social media. We have access to independent data and sales statistics not freely available to the general public. We use all this data to find your Top Local Agent.
We don’t use technical jargon, we keep things plain and simple.

How We Find Your Best Top Agent
We have developed our own unique method of searching for agents in your location that have sold homes of ‘similar value’. Our aim is to identify the 20% of agents who sell 80% of the property. We then narrow it down even further whilst considering the uniqueness of your particular property.
Our database combines our own research with independent real estate data not available to the general public in order to identify the top agent for your property.

The Management Team
Agent Advisor: Don Jolly has worked for over 13 years in the real estate industry as a sales person, franchise manager and franchise owner from 1987 through to 2000. In 2000 he bought The Palm Pacific Report in Whangamata and retained his head licence for Real Estate until he resigned in 2013.
Don is in sole charge of our profiling system. With over 14,000 real estate agents in New Zealand there’s only 20% that are any good and 5% that are the best. Don needs to have his finger on the pulse with those 700 that shake the market!

Owner/Founder: Lisa McCarthy is an ex Chartered Accountant, successful business woman and passionate mum who oversees My Top Agent. She has also worked in the real estate industry, has bought and sold a few houses herself and is an absolute stickler for detail.
